PRESIDENTS MESSGAGE

I am looking forward to the 2026 season – it will be my third year as your President – a role I have greatly enjoyed. This year will see a few changes; we have a new website and some significant rules changes. I hope the web site will be informative and will make competitions easier to arrange, also everyone will be able to see which games are being played and hopefully, have a chance to become a spectator at a few. At our 2025 AGM we made a few rules changes which should be interesting and help prevent match congestion and changes. I sincerely hope these changes will be workable for all our clubs. I think we must try them and review. I know some of our smaller clubs are concerned about how many ladies they will have available to play, so my wish for 2026 is that somehow, they gain more players and that clubs who have previously been affiliated to NHWBA are able to consider re-joining in the future. I wish you all good health, play well and above all enjoy playing bowls.
